"I took part in an 8-day journey discovering Bassari Country in Senegal, with Ibrahima Diallo as my guide.
We had agreed on the main outline of the trip beforehand. Ibrahima made sure it matched exactly what I was looking for (nature, craftsmanship, simplicity and human connection), while also bringing his expertise and knowledge of local realities (actual travel times depending on road conditions, available means of transport, etc.), which was a real advantage!
The final itinerary was perfect, with a great balance between activities and time to relax. The accommodation chosen by Ibou was exceptional, both in terms of the meals and the kindness and hospitality of the staff. His command of Pulaar (a language widely spoken in Eastern Senegal) was also a huge asset. [...]
Another major plus was the complete lack of stress, as Ibou took care of everything (accommodation bookings, transport, etc.). It was such a pleasure to simply go with the flow, keep a sense of surprise while discovering each place, accommodation and activity, without constantly checking the time to make sure everything stayed on schedule. Total disconnection!
Beyond his professionalism and the quality of the itinerary, Ibrahima is kind, cheerful, adaptable and genuinely attentive. It was a real pleasure travelling with him."
